Dr. Pratosh Bansal is a result-oriented academician and higher education administrator who, on 10 July 2025, assumed charge as Director of the Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET), Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore.

He holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, M.Tech. degrees in Energy Management and Computer Science, and earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering (2011).

Since joining DAVV in 1999, Dr. Bansal has made notable contributions in academic innovation, institutional development, and quality assurance.

He has been instrumental in establishing technical laboratories, institutional MIS, AICTE and NAAC compliance frameworks, and university-wide automation systems.

In addition to leading IET, he concurrently serves as Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Director of the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) of DAVV.

His professional exposure includes serving on deputation as Group CEO of a chemical enterprise, where he implemented system-based process management.

Dr. Bansal’s academic and research interests span Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Knowledge Management, Digital Forensics and Energy Management.

He is also the Principal Investigator of a ₹25 crore ANRF-PAIR Project in collaboration with IIT Indore as the hub (with total funding of 100 Cr), demonstrating his leadership in large-scale, interdisciplinary research initiatives.
